The State Government has begun a formal land transfer process that will allow Collie’s ValleyView Residence aged care facility to be overhauled and improved.
Lands Minister Rita Saffioti recently began proceedings to transfer the land on which ValleyView Residence sits into the hands of the centre’s managing body as conditional freehold title.
With upgrades not possible under existing tenure conditions, this higher form of tenure will allow future upgrades to take place by giving management the ability to seek finance.
The McGowan Government has also allocated $2 million in the 2017-18 State Budget towards upgrades at RiverView Residence.
