Severe Weather Warning for South Coastal District

A rain band associated with a low pressure system lies over the western south coast and is producing areas of heavy rain.

HEAVY RAINFALL that may lead to FLASH FLOODING is possible in the warning area, with conditions expected to ease during this afternoon. Moderate falls with areas of local flooding are still possible over the next 24 to 48 hours in and around the warning area.

Currently the radar indicates heavy rainfall may be occurring within the warning area.

Locations which may be affected include Albany and Mount Barker.

This is typical weather for this time of the year but flash flooding caused by heavy rainfall may cause damage to property and make road conditions hazardous.
