Expressions of interest invited for Immigration Reform

The Department of Immigration and Border Protection has released a request for expressions of interest (REOI) to transform Australia’s visa system and how it is delivered around the world.

The Immigration Reform Visa Service Delivery for Australia – Global Digital Platform REOI is the first stage in a multi-stage procurement process to collaborate with industry on our visa service delivery arrangements for the future.

Information on the REOI is now available on the AusTender website.

The Global Digital Platform will support the ongoing competitiveness of key Australian industries, support strong national security and deliver a world-leading, digital user-experience for visa applicants.

Immigration reform will be introduced over a number of years and in full consultation with departmental staff. There will be no immediate changes to arrangements with current service delivery partners.

The Department released a consultation paper to launch engagement with the market on this transformational programme of visa reform on 23 June 2017.
