New performing arts centre for Ocean Reef Senior High School

A new state-of-the art performing arts centre will be built at Ocean Reef Senior High School with planning due to commence in 2018 and construction anticipated to start in the first half of 2019.

Students will have opportunities to explore their creative and artistic talents, and rehearse and perform for audiences once the new centre opens in 2020.

The new centre will replace the school’s existing performing arts facility, with a bigger drama space and accompanying amenities. Existing theatres will be converted into dance studios.

The WA Government is investing $24.5 million in performing arts centres across the State. This is part of a $465 million investment in infrastructure at Western Australian public schools to create local jobs for WA workers.
