The State Government has committed to working closely with the City of Perth Deputy Lord Mayor and its Administration, following a meeting to discuss joint strategic objectives.
Deputy Lord Mayor James Limnios said the meeting with the Minister for Local Government, Hon. David Templeman and the City of Perth CEO was productive and engaging.
“The Minister expressed his desire to make Perth a cultural centre for W.A., stimulate the economy through tourism opportunities and further increase activation of the Capital City,” Mr Limnios said.
“I was humbled by the Minister’s interest in the City of Perth and am excited about the future for the community and rate payers.
“The City of Perth is delighted to be forging a relationship with the McGowan Government, through Local Government Minister David Templeman, to develop great outcomes for Perth and Western Australia.”
The Deputy Lord Mayor said the meeting was an important step in a collaborative approach with the State Government.
