Treasurer Ben Wyatt was in Kalgoorlie-Boulder today to officially announce the extra funding, which was revealed in the State Budget last week.

An additional $1 million will be provided in the 2017-18 financial year (bringing the total to $3 million), and $1 million for the 2018-19 financial year (increasing the total to $2 million).

Investing in research and development to find minerals, increases the recovery of valuable metals and minerals, improves productivity and develops new mineral products and markets.
